Voluntary Sector Grants
If you are a voluntary or community organisation or group, you can get financial help (grant funding) from a number of different places to:
- start up your organisation
- run a project or activity
- buy equipment

Current grant funding opportunities:
Redbridge Community Seed Fund - Open for Applications
The £50,000 Redbridge Community Seed Fund (RCSF) is open for applications, offering awards of up to £3,000.
Grants will being offered to support not for profit groups to carry out work and projects that support the delivery of the four priorities the Redbridge Plan:
- Safe and Healthy
- Homes and Neighbourhood
- Jobs and Skills
- Clean and Green

Funding for 2020 to 2023
All grant funds for 2020-23 have now been awarded. The grants programme was framed around the Borough Partnership Plan, which was published in 2018. By aligning the grants to the Borough Plan we ensured that key priorities were met.
Details of funding distributed between April 2020 and March 2023 are provided below.
Redbridge Social Action Fund
Over late spring and summer 2020, and winter 2021 the Council made a pot of funding available to support not for profit groups working with those affected by the Covid-19 Crisis in Redbridge. The first round of funding opened in May 2020 for applications and closed in July when £8,910 of the £10,000 pot had been awarded. A second round of funding opened in November 2020 and closed in February when £11,321 had been awarded.

Sought to provide funding for organisations that could provide infrastructure support for voluntary and community sector organisations in Redbridge, enhance the offer of information, advice and guidance to residents, and support our residents with complex needs. Redbridge Grant Fund
Sought to provide up to £20,000 per year for two years to organisations that provide voices for the lesser-heard communities of Redbridge. The successful organisations are listed in the table below.

Support young people with a learning disability and/or on the autistic spectrum to transition from children’s to adult services, including help filling in forms, travelling to an interview, or opening a bank account. Also offer a forum where the carers and young people can communicate with their peers to get support from people going through similar things. |

To help the ‘Circle of Carers Empowerment and Inclusion Project’, which is all about identifying carers needs, listening to carers, particularly in seldom heard groups, responding to their needs and empowering carers to gain more choice, control, independence and representation. |

Redbridge Local Lottery
Voluntary sector organisations can also secure funding by signing up as a good cause and taking part in the Redbridge Local Lottery, where 60p of every £1 goes towards charitable causes.
