Key steps to dealing with disruption
Continuity procedures should detail: the key business functions that you need to get up and running and those members of staff who are responsible for implementing what can be termed a crisis action plan. There are 5 basic planks that need to be in place to ensure a good response.
- react within the first hour
- ensure your employees use their training
- circulate key contact details and preferred service providers
- ensure that your nominated Press and PR person is in place within the first hour
- distribute hard copies of your formal arrangements to all members of staff
