Rent a garage

You can apply to rent a garage in Redbridge from us. You do not have to be a council tenant or leaseholder to rent a garage.  

You must use the garage to store a vehicle, for example a car, motorbike or mobility vehicle.  

If you’re a council tenant or leaseholder, your account must be in credit when applying for a garage.

Costs 

The cost for renting a garage depends on the address.  

  • £15.51 to £23.27 per week for council tenants and leaseholders (no VAT)
  • £18.61 to £27.92 per week for non-tenants and anyone with a second garage (plus VAT)

What happens next  

We’ll contact you when a garage becomes available.  

If no garages are available, we’ll add you to the waiting list.  

You’ll need to provide us with the following proof if you accept a garage offer:  

  • driving licence photocard
  • National Insurance number
  • vehicle registration document (log book)  

We’ll ask you to pay six weeks rent in advance by debit or credit card. You’ll need to provide your bank details to set up a direct debit for future payments.
