Students in Redbridge have received their GCSE results.

Redbridge Council thanks and congratulates all our schools, teachers, support staff, students and parents for their dedication, sacrifice and hard work.

  • 67 per cent of pupils achieved grades 5 or above in English and mathematics GCSEs
  • The average Attainment 8 score is 55.36
  • 50 per cent of pupils entering the English Baccalaureate
  • The average EBacc APS score per pupil is 5.09

Redbridge Institute of Adult Education also recorded some fantastic results, announcing a 100% pass rate amongst their adult learners for GCSE English and Maths, with 50% receiving grades 7-9, showing it is never too late to learn.

The Leader of Redbridge Council, Cllr Jas Athwal, said: " Redbridge has outstanding schools that provide excellent education and opportunities for young people. Congratulations to the pupils who collected their GCSE results. I visited Valentines High School, Forest Academy and Loxford School, and the atmosphere at each school was electric.

"I'd like to thank the pupils, teachers, and parents for their hard work. This cohort of pupils were some of those most seriously impacted by the pandemic, which took a massive toll on their education and overall development. Despite this, they have shown remarkable resilience and character, two vital traits that will stand them in solid stead for the future.”

Will Pickford, Principal at Redbridge Institute of Adult Education, explained, “I am delighted our adult learners have once again excelled in their GCSEs. For most people, returning to study after many years away from school is a daunting prospect. These results are a testament to the hard work, dedication and resilience shown by our students and the fantastic support they receive from our tutors.”
