Site inspections
You can book site inspections:
Review your submitted applications
Plan assessments
After you make your submissions online please email us at buildingcontrol@redbridge.gov.uk and tell us you have made a submission. This will help us keep you updated about your project and associated matters.
Same day inspection
You can request a same day inspection by calling 020 8708 2529 before 10am on a business day. We'll do our best to book an inspection for you.
For completion visitions, we need at least 24hrs notice.
Next day inspections
You can book online or contact Building Control for inspections the next working day or later. If you are emailing, include your:
- full name
- contact phone number
- email address
- address of site inspection
- post code
- BC Application Number (if known)
Please also include the date of site inspection. Do not put a weekend or bank holiday date as the office is closed.

- D.P.C. (Damp Proof Course)
- D.P.M.(Damp Proof Membrane)
- Drainage
- Drains Test
- Foundations or Excavations
- General Inspection
- Lintols or Beams or RSJs
- Oversite
- Piling or ground beams
- Re roof
- Staircase
- Structure (floor)
- Structure (reinforcement)
- Structure (roof)
- Structure (steelwork)
- Thermal Insulation (floor)
- Thermal Insulation (roof)
- Through Lounge
- Underpinning
You are responsible for requesting site visits at key stages of your building work. We'll give you a schedule of what you need to tell us once you submit an application to us.
