Redbridge 11 plus
The 11 plus test is used by grammar schools to help decide which children are offered a place.
You must register for the test when your child is in Year 5. It takes place in Year 6, when children are around 10 or 11 years old.
Register for the 11 plus test
This is important so your child can have the right support and environment during their test.
If your child is starting Year 7 in September 2026 and you want to apply to either of the following schools:
You must register them for the test before 5pm on Sunday 15 June 2025.
You need to choose Education then 11 plus Common Catchment Area to make sure your child lives in the blue lined area on the map.
Your child will most likely not be offered a place if they live outside this catchment area.

Travel and parking arrangements
No parking will be available at either school site unless you have a valid disabled badge.
We strongly encourage you to use public transport.
Parking in the local area is very limited and will be strictly monitored by parking patrols.
What happens next
At the start of September, you’ll be emailed an 11 plus photo ID form and an invite letter. This letter has information about the:
- time and location of the test
- test duration
- items your child can or cannot bring to the test
The test takes place on Friday 19 September 2025. You must bring the completed 11 plus photo ID form to the test. Without it, your child cannot take the test.
The test results are emailed to you in the middle of October.
